Damires Hills Tierra Verde

I may not be the adventurous nor sporty type, but I surely am a nature lover. And by nature lover, I mean I like to see places with lush greens, breath-taking scenery and thriving vegetation. I often visit the beautiful beaches found in Iloilo. I find it refreshing to be one with nature and forget the hectic life that I have in the city. However, last May 31^st I decided to try something new. I tried visiting an inland resort for a change. Few of my friends recommended a place in Janiuay, a municipality in Iloilo. That place is called Damires Hills Tierra Verde.

Located in Barangay Damires in the municipality of Janiuay, Damires Hills Tierra Verde is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of life in the city. Janiuay can be reached from The New Iloilo Airport by a 25-minute drive. From the city, it takes about an hour.

GETTING THERE

If you’re coming from Iloilo City, it’s about a 1-hour drive. However, if you’d rather take the public transit, you can take a CBL (Calinog Bus Liner) bus or a Calinog Jeepney at the Ungka Terminal. You can get off at the Janiuay Town Center (Plaza). Around the plaza, there are many tricycles that can take you to Damires Hills. You can negotiate with the driver if you want him to come pick you up after your time in Damires as there are no tricycles from Damires going back to the town center.

TIERRA VERDE

With an approximately 40-hectare land area, Damires Hills is a paradise filled with lush greens and overwhelming vegetation. Owned by the Tirador Family and opened in 2010, the resort is one of the biggest contributors to the modest tourism industry in Janiuay. It is certainly a must-visit place when you come to Janiuay.

Damires Hills is the perfect escape to nature. Here, you can be one with nature, do some physical activities such as ATV-riding, Zipline (Slide for Life) and Bungee Trampoline. Truly, Damires Hills is not only for those who want to relax but also it brings out the adventurer in you.  Here, you can go bonding with friends, family and nature. You can take photographs of the stunning hillside view; celebrate important moments in your life as they also accommodate weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and any kind of party that you can think of. If you want to experience all of these, Damires Hills is the perfect place for you.
