Sheridan Resort is located in Brgy Buray Oton, Iloilo. It is in the first town going south, outside the city of Iloilo. Far enough from the busy city but still provides easy access to other tourist attractions in the province.
Accommodation
Deluxe, Casitas and Suite rooms range from P5000-P8000 for single or double occupancy per night. The Casitas have verandas facing the man-made lagoon. Food
Aside from first rate accommodation, Sheridan’s strength is the long list of the finest sumptuous Iloilo cuisine and Authentic Filipino dishes. Sheridan’s Ayanna Garden Restaurant offers an enjoyable and tasty fine dining experience set in a serene milieu. This open-air restaurant with a great view of the infinity pool, and overlooking the lagoon adds up to the pleasurable eating experience. For formal or small private events, you can have reservations in their enclosed dining area.
Their best sellers and my personal favourites are Pomelo and Prawns, Organic Chicken Concido and my top one, Honey Pork Belly. This must-try dish has a very rich flavour which can be tasted in every sliver of the pork made even more luscious with just the right sweetness of the honey sauce. On the same rank is the Beef Caldereta with a very creamy liver and tomato sauce, topped with carrots, olives, potatoes and grated cheese. You will enjoy every spoonful of it.
Other highly recommended dishes are their Seafood Oyster Noodles, Seafood Kare Kare and Pork Belly Adobo. For dessert, their Truffle Cake and Ube Haleya Cheesecake deserve a two thumbs up.
Ayanna Garden Restaurant serves a daily breakfast and provides room service. For lunch, it is open from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon, then they resume at 6PM to 10PM for dinner.
Amenities and Activities
The Azure Infinity Pool is the favourite spot of almost everybody especially the kids. It is open from 9 in the morning until 10 in the evening. For Day Use, you can enjoy the pool including the welcoming drinks and towel for only Php 250.00.
You can also ask for your food to be served in the Gazebo which also has a good view of the entire resort. There are also tables with big umbrellas in the garden. This 1.5 hectare resort is filled with charming landscapes perfect for picture takings. After a lavish meal, you can walk along their well-designed walkways and explore their garden with a great selection of trees, ornamental plants and flowers.
Sheridan has a Wilfredo Garden Pavilion for big events such as wedding receptions, debuts and birthday parties, which can accommodate as many as 350 people. With this wide area with an elegant ceiling coupled with the food from Ayanna, your guests will surely be satisfied.
For water-lovers, you can enjoy paddling or kayaking with a friend, or another family member, or even a special someone around the lagoon.
Guests can seek assistance from the 24-hour reception about luggage storage, airport shuttle and use of meeting spaces. Free private parking spaces are also available. Their customer service sees to it that the comfort and convenience of their guests is their top priority.
Getting there
If you have your own car, go south heading to Oton, which is the first town after Villa. Before reaching the town proper, there is a forked road on your right just after Total Gasoline station, where there is a noticeable billboard of the resort, and just before Batiano Bridge. Take that right-side fork and drive for another 150 meters. Along the road on your right is Sheridan.
For commuters, you can take a Villa jeepney in front of Sarabia Manor Hotel, or just outside Robinson’s Mall. Ask the driver to drop you off Molo Iloilo Supermart, where you can board an Oton jeepney. Tell the driver to drop you off Total Gasoline station before Batiano Bridge. From the gas station, Sheridan is just about a 5-10 minute walk.
Sheridan Boutique Resort offers a tranquil vacation, where you can spend some “alone time” stretching out on pool chairs with your favourite book while sipping a tall glass of buko shake, or a wet and wild getaway, where you can be a human canon ball with your family and friends.
